Solution Blueprint: Driving Sustainable Transformation in Pharma
The challenge began with a global pharmaceutical leader, an organization with a vast footprint of 18 manufacturing plants and 9 R&D centers. They had already made a formal commitment to sustainability through their EHS policy. But like many large companies, they were at a critical crossroads: how to translate high-level pledges into a concrete, measurable, and financially viable action plan. They needed to move from intention to implementation, transforming sustainability from a perceived cost center into a powerful engine for efficiency and resilience.
Internal Carbon Pricing schemes comparison for a Leading Manufacturing company
I architected a strategic framework for a leading manufacturing company to evaluate and implement an Internal Carbon Pricing (ICP) scheme. My role involved analyzing various ICP models—from shadow pricing to internal fees—and designing a tailored selection process to identify the optimal fit for their business objectives. The final blueprint included actionable pathways for implementation and, crucially, integrated carbon pricing principles directly into their product design lifecycle, ensuring future products would be conceived from the ground up for both environmental and economic resilience.
